Closing and reopening plans

Close a plan when the cutting job is finished and you want to prevent further changes.

To close or reopen plans, go to the Plans tab, select one or more plans and press F6.

Closing a plan locks it against editing. If its stocks were loaded from real Inventory records, the program deducts the quantities used by the optimized layouts. Reusable remnants that meet Min remnant length and Min remnant width are added to the location selected under Remnant storage. Directly entered and unlimited virtual stocks do not represent physical inventory to deduct.

Reopening a plan unlocks it and reverses the inventory transactions made when the plan was closed: deducted inventory stocks are restored and the remnants created by that closure are removed. It is therefore important to keep the plan's state consistent with what has physically been cut and moved in your workshop.

Under Program options > Automation, you can also choose to close plans automatically after optimization. Use this only when immediate inventory posting fits your workflow.
