Adding plans in batch

Because each plan uses one material, a product or order containing several materials requires a separate plan for each material. The program can create these plans together in a single operation, either by importing parts with material information or from Assemblies.

From imported parts

A single imported part list can also contain several materials. The import must identify the material for each part, and the corresponding materials must already exist in the Materials tab.

Go to Plans > Parts - you do not need to create an empty plan first - and import the list using Ctrl+I, or Ctrl+J for clipboard data. Map the part material, dimensions, quantity, and any other required fields. When prompted, choose to create plans for the imported materials and enter the batch information, including a plan description.

The program creates the appropriate plans and assigns each part to the plan for its material. Add stocks if they are not loaded automatically from Inventory, then select the plans you want to optimize and press F3.

For available file formats, field mapping, and other import options, see Import.

From Assemblies

Assemblies can represent products, bills of materials, or customer orders. An assembly may contain parts made from different materials.

Go to the Assemblies tab, select an assembly, then go to Assemblies > Parts and press F4. Choose Copy to plans / create plans. For details, see Copying assembly parts to plans.
