Adding a plan

In the Plans tab, click Insert (+) on the navigator, or press Ins, to create a plan. Enter a description and select the material you want to cut. Open the Stocks, Parts, and Settings tabs to prepare the job.

Each plan contains only one material, but you can create any number of plans for different materials. If you do not use the inventory features, use the predefined Default material.

Plan fields

•# - Automatically assigned number, used for default sorting.

•Date - Date the plan was created.

•Material - Material used for the plan. This also determines which inventory stocks, predefined parts, and settings are available for copying. A red indication warns when the material's stock level is below its minimum level.

•Description, Name, Note 1-4 - Information used to identify the job, customer, or order and to include in reports or exports.

•Uncut, Parts, Stocks, Cost, Yield - Read-only information about the latest optimized result, including uncut parts, stock use, cost, and material utilization.

•ID - Unique, automatically generated, read-only identifier.

To show, hide, or reorder columns, select View > Rearrange columns.

Copying a plan

To make a new plan from an existing one, select the plan and press Ctrl+V while the grid is not in field-editing mode. This copies its plan information, cutting settings, stocks, and parts. Modify the copy as needed and optimize it again.

The Copy plan toolbar button also offers options to copy only the plan and settings, or to include stocks, parts, or both. Use it when you want to reuse part of an existing job rather than the complete input.
