The Serial port tab configures communication with machines and other devices connected through a physical or virtual serial port. These settings are used when sending Custom exports or G-code directly to a device.

Serial port settings: Click to select the port and configure the baud rate and other communication parameters. These must match the settings required by the receiving device.

Prefix: Text or control characters added before the transmitted data.

Suffix: Text or control characters added after the transmitted data.

The prefix and suffix can contain character codes written as # followed by a decimal number. For example, #9 represents a tab, and #13#10 represents a carriage return followed by a line feed (CRLF). Leave a field empty if no prefix or suffix is required.
