About CutLogic 1D

CutLogic 1D is cutting optimization software for linear materials such as bars, tubes, profiles, beams, pipes, and cables. It calculates efficient cutting layouts to reduce material waste and production costs, with tools for managing materials, preparing production reports, and exporting cutting data.

The software supports a wide range of materials, including metal, wood, and plastics. It can work with multiple stock lengths and reusable remnants, taking into account cutting width, trims, stock availability, and other production requirements.

A typical workflow starts with entering or importing the required part lengths and quantities and specifying the available stock. CutLogic 1D then optimizes the cutting plan and lets you review the layouts, material utilization, and reusable remnants. The results can be printed as production reports or exported for further processing.

Material inventory and assemblies help organize stock and recurring groups of parts. Reusable remnants can be retained for future cutting plans.

For production, cutting layouts and reports provide clear cutting instructions. Open-stack optimization helps reduce the number of unfinished part size stacks during cutting, making parts easier to organize and handle. Import and customizable export tools allow you to exchange data with other systems.

CutLogic 1D is available in Community, Professional, and Enterprise editions. See Edition comparison for the features included in each edition.

This manual explains how to set up the software, prepare and optimize cutting plans, and use the results in production.
